Kelly Jo Baute, PhD, is owner of A Splendid Earth Wellness and provides wellness and ergonomics programming for individuals and small businesses. She has over 20 years of experience in the wellness, health and fitness industry and holds a doctorate in kinesiology and biological anthropology. She has conducted laboratory experiments of motor behavior as well as international field studies of farm-laborers' working postures and agro-chemical exposures and eco-tourists' recreational behavior.

At 41, Dr. K was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She had a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction, chemotherapy and numerous other surgeries and procedures. Losing her health and wellness was as impactful as the diagnosis. Dr. K battled through and has re-built her body and her life. She completed her doctoral dissertation while finishing her chemotherapy treatments, and has re-built her career to help others.
